Regarding training tomatoes to run up sunflowers...PLEASE rethink this!
Have you ever noticed that under your bird feeders, the only thing that will
sprout and grow are the sunflower seeds? Sunflowers have the same component
as black walnut trees, (jugulon - sp?) and few things compete with them.
I keep sunflowers as far away from everything else as I possible can. I'm
no chemist, but this sounds too risky to me, if you want to get tomatoes!
