Eating
the plant would be equivalent to our modern day form of Homeopathic medicine
where like treats like. It is
available is pill form from health food stores. Many people do take it especially utility
workers and it seems to work for them.
It is one of the top most toxic plants in the world and over 66% of the
population is allergic to it. I
have personally experienced it all my life and the result is a histamine reaction
from my immune system. I am
extremely careful to avoid it but still contact it 1-2 times per year. Regardless of what anyone says it does
get in the blood stream and travel.
Last fall I had a terrible experience with it, went to a doctor for
treatment and had a worse experience with the steroid treatment. Washing it off only
helps if it is done within the first few minutes of contact. Each person will react differently and
yes the reaction can vary throughout life as changes in your immune system
occur. I have been researching herbal
treatments which include Echinacea tincture and kaolin clay packs to draw out
toxins. Blended oatmeal packs also
work but avoidance is the best. -----Original Message----- In a message dated indians used to eat it
