ok, FINALLY got seeds planted for a few experimental fall crops. Problem is
our darn weather (when has that NOT been a problem this year). We hit 80's
during the day and low 50's at night. I don't have them on heat mats,
thinking the temp extremes wouldn't be so extreme--duh. Should have known
better. Never having planted fall lettuce in this particular climate, this
is all new (I hate the learning curve of a new hardiness zone ; )). Local
farming buddies wonder what the heck I'm doing planting this time of year
; )))

Will be starting on a market stand later this month, finally, yeah!!! 'Bout
the only thing I'll have to sell is a bumper crop of poison ivy which I can
attest too well to. My beds are weed free though ; )))

Got 3.5" of rain in one hour last week, and this time last year we were 2
months into haying the horses due to the drought. One of these years, we're
going to have normal weather so I can start getting an accurate picture of
this new climate, arrgghhh!!!
