If you sell to a retail clientele, the other vendors who
like your products so much that they have to have
them must be willing to pay retail and you must
charge them retail. If you charge them less, they
are just as likely to use that fact against you by
telling your customers that they buy from you at the
same price they (the other farmer/vendor) sells to
the customer. In the eyes of the shoppers that is
not good.

If you are going to trade, trade based on weight/value
ratios, not pound for pound. If the other guy gets
$ 4 /lb for his sausage and you get $ 8 /lb for yours,
he gets half as much as you do.

Protect and further your developing brands by
giving your customers the occasional price break,
don't give it to your competitors.
