- Subject: [Market-farming] Pam for corn earworms
- Date: Sat, 14 Jun 2003 21:11:54 EDT
We are organic and have sprayed "pam" on our corn to prevent earworms. some of the ears have not filled out properly. My question: did we spray too early?? and prevent complete pollination? Does anybody have good experience with this technique? It does work - have seen very few earworms and they are small; almost no damage. but, about the timing...
However, had corn for dinner and it was awesome! Some of the best corn I have ever had...Early Riser from Harris. A "sweet breed" variety.
