In the east, Green Spot in New Hampshire and IPM Labs in Locke, NY
both have ladybugs and ship when you want them. You can get on an
automatic ship with IPM Labs; they ship every two weeks through the
winter. Both sources send healthy beetles.

In addition to lady bugs, you might try Aphidoliza aphidomyza and/or
lacewings--both work well. I've had better luck by using two types of
biological controls at a time rather than just one. However, don't get
lacewings unless you have a LOT of aphids--they will eat the ladybug
larvae as happily as they eat the aphids.
