Planting the nicest "heads" of garlic is the suggestion. The large nice
firm garlic heads may have small cloves amongst the large and will grow large
as well.
I have an overabundance this year of soft neck and hard neck I would
be willing to sell. My garlic seed stock has been proven for 7 years. I grow
in Northwest Indiana. Planting around Halloween, harvesting around 4th of
July in zone 5, snowblast Lake Michigan climate I mulch fairly heavy to
accommodate for the heaving.
