Hi, Folks!

To cure athlete's foot once you have it: Swabbing the affected area with tea tree oil *works*. If you're feeling cheap, you can use diluted vinegar, but it will sting a bit. It will also take longer to go away than with the tea tree oil.

Footwear: I use the "Sloggers" clogs which can now be found in almost any hardware or garden store for under $20. I wear them every day until we have snow on the ground and they are comfortable, easy to clean and don't crack, like the original European ones did. They are now popular enough that you can get any color -- in the beginning, they made only one color of each shoe size.

Pants: I've actually found the best work pants are (gasp!) 100% polyester-with-elastic-waistband pants from the thrift store that no one would actually be caught dead wearing on the street. I've had to replace jeans about every 8 months because the knees (and knee patches!) wore out so bad. The polyester ones resist dirt, wash easily, dry in a flash on the clothes line, have no zippers or buttons to catch on things or wear out and the knees never wear out! The cloth pills a bit and threads pull out when you go through thorns, but the cloth doesn't rip. My last pair lasted TWO YEARS, looked horrible at the end of it, but they're work pants, so who cares?
