For a small farm, less than 10 acres, the Planet Jr. Walk-Behind Seeder works well. We use it for all our direct seeded crops, from arugula and scallions, to beets, peas, and beans, with good success. We do cultivate with a rear-mounted Williams weeder, basically a fancy Leli with knives, track sweeps, etc. So, we mark the beds and then just follow the marks with the Planet Jr. and it works well for us. A good combo of mechanization and simplification for a wide variety of crops on a relatively small piece of land. Just a thought, if you have a small farm.
