I would rather plow corn under if its unsalable, The old saying is "sell the
best keep the rest" is taken very seriously around here. I want to stay away
from the supermarket look..
>Is there a Fall market for dried stalks as decoration?
Yes a big fall decoration market but we all use field corn with its 10-15'
tall strong stalks, sweetcorn stalks break appart and loose leaves and make a
general mess.
Do you have
>access to blanching and freezing facilities
Yes we have a freezer plant two miles away but my corn is not the type they
process.
Can you get some gleaners in to pick
>what isn't saleable for the food bank,
Yes but the gleaners have 50000 acres to pick from in the area they have no
interest in my corn

Yes I can get insurance but hate the paper work and the smell of government
offices...
Many thanks for you concern...Bob.
