My perception is that it is just the opposite: tomatoes set in cooler
weather are likely to have the malady. Here, the problem crops up only
on the earlier fruit; for each plant, the later fruit is much less
likely to have it. A scant handful of bone meal in each planting
hole almost alleviates it for me.
