Tom,
Blossom End Rot results from a shortage of Calcium in the plant. The soil
test may indicate sufficient Calcium, but, when hot, dry weather takes
holds, BER "blossoms" quite well. There are BER potions on the market, but,
if you keep sufficient moisture to the plants you will have less BER
problems.
