It seems like much of the problems brought up here are not really that
resellers are present, but could all be alleviated by the market managers
and enforcement of the rules. I agree that the most imporant thing is to
fostor small farms and a link between the farmer and the customer. I
believe that link will outsell a reseller from out of town/state unless he
can provide that link as well. I think it is up to the farmer to sell his
farm. Inform the customers. I think a market should facilitate this in any
way possible. Keep the customers informed. In order to do this the market
has to be informed. Label, make signs, have a peddlers corner, organic
avenue, farms should all have a name and logo and information about the
farm at the market, pictures, talk about production with the customers.
