Alex, I think this is great thinking - allowing more farmers to participate
without each having to drive every market day, and a protocol for keeping it
honest.

This would be difficult. I personally would want the man there because I'd
like to have to opportunity to buy the organic citrus, but does it introduce
a loophole, that could, in the end, cause a lot of problems. You'll have to
let us know what your market decides, and how it works.

Parallel might really work, with everything clearly labeled. Even at our
market, I wouldn't get so angry, if the re-sellers were required to clearly
label their trucked-in produce (although the folks we're talking about
mostly wouldn't, and there would be no repercussions!). I suggested years
ago that we partition our market with growers at one end, and re-sellers at
the other, but the re-sellers don't want it - they want customers to think
they are farmers. And each year, we see fewer farmers, and smaller crowds.
