Judy,
Scales have their place, but if you can price your produce by the
piece--check out is much faster & easier for yourself, helpers &
customers. When you must use a scale, a hanging one is best,
preferably one with the hooks, chains & pan. You can disconnect the
pan & chains, and hang bags of produce on the hooks to weigh. Prices
can be high--but I found one locally from a retiring market gardener.
Be sure to get it tested and approved by your local ag dept as legal
for trade.
