HI,
Thanks for the reminder.. You are absolutely correct.. Native american is a PC thing..
Wish I was from your neck of the "woods'. Here in my part of CT folks are not inerested in becoming social.. More like anti-social.. I have tried without success to cultivate friendships with others in my neighborhood. People walk by my huge garden and stop to "chat" but don't really seem interested. Maybe I'm scary (c:
Our garden did great this year and I've started the tiny forest garden. We have had way to much rain and then heat.. The weeds have taken over and I need to get my old hiney out and do some serious weeding. I would love to connect with others and share my garden with them. If I had more hands we could get some fantasic produce from my small bit of earth.. As it stands with failing health I can't keep up..
I did really build a great soil this year with the help of free horse manure, old leaf mould, and woodchips.. There is a lot of soil life now compared to when we bought the house and lot 11 years ago. My raised bed garden is still going very strong and we are eating from it daily.
But the work it takes now is getting ahead of my abilities..
