My husband and I are considering a used tractor purchase (Kama $3,000, buying
from first owner)-- DH will borrow the tractor to see if he a) is able to be
his own mechanic on it b) likes the model and thinks it will do what we want
it to.

So, I've been thinking off and on today about what we would use or need a
tractor for and thus far I've come up with the following:

1. discing for no-till and grow more crops

2. manure spreading

3. moving hoophouse -- I saw a setup somewhere that used tractors to pull the
hoophouse back and forth and always growing a cover crop at the last spot,
just moved them houses back and forth for the next crop.

4. posthole digging

5. mowing, brushhogging

Advice or ideas on this would be appreciated,

Carrie
