No one method is right for all people in all soils in all climates no matter how many exciting words in no mater how many books.  Double dug, no till, lasagna, square foot, etc, they will all work to some degree.  Only you know what your soils and climate is like.  Pick one that looks like it would work and plant something.  Each year you experiment, do something different, plant something different, if something does not appear to be working do not be afraid to try a totally new method, you will always learn something new.  Plant something, get something growing and do not look for perfection.  Even your mistakes will make good compost.
