Hi Everyone

So we actually have a grinder and press - but there are about 13 bushels of
apples waiting and softening - they're golden russets so they definitely
need to soften. While there has been oodles written about the garburator
(sp?) grinder on nafex, I'm hoping there's another solution or device that I
could consider to spare me from grinding 13 plus bushels - the long way.

The golden russet cider we made last season was so yummy, this year we're
going to quadruple the batch. I loved it since it didn't trigger a headache
like many other wines. A neighbour has a power grinder that he purchased
from someone in or near Buffalo, and the ground bits are very small, more so
than the manual grinder.

I'll give anything a try, since next year we're likely to have even more
bushels to deal with.

Cheers, Bizmark

Hello all,

The only tricky bit in making that press is attaching the pressing shaft.
It is really easy. See image. tom
