Hello Biz,

I followed Lon's directions for growing out the quince. Will work with most any seed.

You need a glass jar with screw lid, peat moss, and seed.

You need the peat moss to be slightly damp (not wet). Lon suggested that you wet the peat moss, then squeeze out as much water as you can in your fist.

Put the damp peat moss in a sterile glass jar, add seed, mix, put in the refridgerator until they begin to sprout (takes 60-90 days). When the first root emerges from the seed, pot that seed up. Keep jar in fridge till all seeds sprout.

Lon feels that the peat moss has anti-fungal properties.

It worked like a charm for me. The glass jar makes it easy to check for sprouting seeds each day, without having to open it.

I think I put my jar in the fridge in late January.

Later,
Tom
