There's a great book that touches on that effect and more on the depth of scientific studies of psi phenomena. Basically, based on thousands of various studies, it's very well established that consciousness affects the physical world in numerous ways, and the non-locality predicted by Quantum Mechanics is real.

I first witnessed this sort of thing when my tai chi teacher, in San Francisco, would push some of the advanced students (standing about 30 feet away from him) using his mind. One would stand facing him and they were gradually pushed backward, off balance, like a gentle wind pushing a sail. It was a mind cracker.

The book is little dense, as it's about science by a scientist, but a remarkable work. It's "The Conscious Universe: The Scientific Truth of Psychic Phenomena" by Dean Radin.

Not that I'm doubting you, but could you point me to these studies?
That's a powerful and interesting statement. I'd like to be able to
make that argument myself, but I'd feel uncomfortable doing so without
seeing and referring to the published studies you refer to.

Cheers,
