Making pasta at home is easy and fun. I have a kitchenaid mixer and the handy pasta making attachment. I'm having a shadow memory that there might be two pasta making attachments available. I have the extruder. I make stuff that is not normally for sale like garlic sundried tomato. Great with alfredo sauce.

It is easy to make pasta with fairly basic tools including a
fork, rolling pin, and knife. Pile up the flour, make a dent,
add eggs to dent. Start mixing with fork until you get it to
a dough. Knead with hands until the dough is pliable. Roll with
rolling pin or you can use a machine to make it flat. Cut into
desired shapes. Boil in salted water. It takes much less time
to cook than the store bought dried pasta.
Add any type of debris or sauce and eat.

My old Italian cooking class notes from 1989 say to use 1 1/2
cup flour to 2 medium eggs, but it ain't rocket science. Folks in
huts in Italy do it all the time without a whole lot of equipment.
The big difference in this other than purchasing it is the clean
up time.
You can also do it in a food processor if you want to get
techie. I have one of those clamp on pasta machines, but I have
not used it lately. I need to get it out and play some.
Enjoy, Roger
