Scott - aren't you sharing RAM between OS X and XP with Parallels? I
agree that rebooting is not a good option if you need to switch back and
forth often, but if not, it seems better to have full use of the machine
for the OS you are using. Any idea how performance is affected for both
OS's? I will be running some intensive apps on OS X doing video
compression and I'll want all the horsepower the machine can offer.
You set how much RAM you want XP to have access to. I only have 1GB of RAM so I set it at 256 until my other 1GB chip comes in. Then I'll give it 512... But it's not using it if you're not using XP. When you run you memory intensive apps on OSX don't have XP started.... easy enough...
