Well, I wouldn't go to Home Depot for a computer in the first place. My thoughts- thats a rock bottom price for a lab top. Video gobbles memory and if you plan on doing presentations I'd pop for the better video card. My eyes aren't what they use to be so I spend for a great display. I've had mixed thoughts on memory. 256K is the minimum you need, I'd see if you could double that. Find out now if that unit can fit more memory, otherwise its usefulness would be very limited. Lastly check around for information on that processor. Some are noted fro being power hogs and others for being very frugal. Makes a difference if you are working on a plane or away from power. Some units only last 2 hours or so. A great test of the unit is to use it to watch a movie. You can check out the screen and see how fast it sucks down the power.
