Not that I hate Macs (I do) but a couple of months ago I specced out a SFF PC for a friend of mine who was looking for an entry-level machine that he could play some games on and generally have fun with. Just for grins, we "built" it from that month's Intrex (prices 15% higher than you could pay online) parts list. Price: ~$725. Specs: P4 2.4 (for cheapness), 1GB, ATI AIW 128mb (9600?), 200GB hdd, DVD burner, built on some generic SFF box they're pimpin.

Now I know the fit and finish of a Mac is pretty good, but is it *that* good?
Don't get me wrong. I started my nerdness on an apple ][+. I used to love apples. When they bullheadedly refused to cooperate with the aftermarket, they *gave* the market share away...
