Today there was a small note at the end of daily wireless newsletter I
recieve that google will now find WiFi hotspots on location searches. Just
enter "wi-fi" as a search term and the closest area code.

For instance last week David was asking for a place by Grabtree Mall (;P) w/
Wi-Fi to meet a client. I ran:
http://labs.google.com/location?q=wi-fi&near=4325+Glenwood+Avenue+27612&Sear
ch=Google+Search

4325 Glenwood is the address of Belk @ Crabtree Mall. Based on the search
results it looks like Google is looking for the term "wi-fi" to occur in
webpages that have the zipcode "27612", it then pulls the complete addresses
from those results and plots them on a map. The Hotels in the results seem
likely good "hits", the Verizon Wireless stores not so likely.
