Aww thanks, Kurt. Although in honesty I should add that it is possible
that "far from common" might be meaningfully parsed for some people as
"far from listenable".

And to answer Diana:

Michael and I were coworkers at this now-defunct software company called
Imonics here in the Triangle when I decided I was interested in starting
with Chapman Stick, and he was nice enough to invite me over and give me
an introductory lesson on his, given I'd not actually seen one in person
before then.

If you search this list's archives, you'll find a discussion on theremins
from a while back, where both Michael and I commented therein.

Ok, I have to pack the gear now for the show, excuse me.

best,
Steve Burnett
