Ok, let me make myself clear.
Though I will (adamantly) defend anyone's right to spout his/her opinion
*and* will unequivocally state that _constitutionally_ you have every right
to insult someone however basely and rudely you choose; HOWEVER, I do think
that I have the right (and perhaps even the duty) to _attempt_ to instill
civility. (Maybe it's because I'm a Southerner, but I see no need for
rudeness. Ever.)
Really, it's not that difficult to be civil and it would add a lot to the
tenor of our interactions.
FWIW, I think that the "nature of the list" is something that does (and
should!) come up regularly over time, as it helps us re-think our collective
community.
(Again, my opinion)
