Really?

I don't see these guidelines posted on the site, this is what is currently
posted as far a what the list is for:

----------------
Talking about stuff on our Discussion List, where Internetworkers discuss
whatever comes to mind: the digital divide, intellectual property, web
hosting, stolen web sites, life in the triangle, denial-of-service attacks
and North Carolina's new "Geek Profiling" have been just a few of the
topics... and of course, we talk about the weather. The list was quite
active during our record snow storm this winter. Message volume ranges from
5 to 50 messages a day, but it seems to average around 10.

----------------

"Whatever comes to mind" pretty much covers stream-of-consciousness
rantings. If you don't care for a thread or poster you can always kill
filter it/them.

Yes, please stop. Another thing - this list is really not here for your
stream-of-consciousness rantings, of any persuasion. Here are some helpful
questions to ask before you post your latest grunt/rant:

1. Am I actually making a point?
2. Is my point relevant to anything of interest to this group?
3. Do I actually have any knowledge of the subject at hand, or am I
formulating opinions out of boredom?
4. Do I really think anyone else will be enriched from my post?

These guidelines should not be difficult to follow, and point number 2 is
actually quite broad. I believe other Internetworkers would be happy to
offer
additional helpful guidelines if you are still unsure.
