Try finding a lot of gay and lesbian titles there. Not gonna happen. Also
try finding off the wall documentaries (Michael Moore doesn't count),
experimental films, underground/indie films or shorts. Not gonna happen.
It's guaranteed to be there - unless it's not a mainstream/relatively
mainstream film, yo.

Try finding the 1990 Richard Harris movie "The Field" - "well, our
computer says we have it, try over at the other store" - "well, our
computer says we have it, but we don't" &c... - augh!

Not that it's wrong for a store to only carry mainstream stuff. But like
Wal-Marts who only sell the "clean" versions of CDs and video games it
seems Blockbuster has opted to remove large segments of the filmmaking
community from their shopping population.

Makes me long for a VisArt in Raleigh. Anyone know why they haven't jumped
over here yet? North American tries, but doesn't really cut it (although I
have been enjoying going through the AFI Top 100 from their selection at
the Mission Valley store...)

Cheers
KJ
