On a somewhat related subject, anybody in the Chapel Hill area want to
get together for lunch again sometime? Maybe next Wednesday and Medi
Deli again? I'm of course open for suggestions for alternate days or
restaurants.

Strictly speaking, I don't believe there is a single Kosher restaurant,
deli
or otherwise, anywhere in the Triangle. I'm not sure about the rest of
the
state, possible in Charlotte or Greensboro. You can buy pre-packaged
kosher
Salmon in a variety of places, though, including A Southern Season,
Whole
Foods, and even Costco.
As far as tasty fish, they have some nice (and pricey) salmon at A
Southern
Season, in the deli case.
