Here is an article about a new main-in-the-middle crack for PGP.
>From the tone of those quoted, its a biggie.

Lisa's post last week about the NC*SA meeting with a key-signing
ceremony <g> afterwards prompted me to formulate some thoughts
that I have been ruminating on for a few weeks.

For a long time I have been really interested in cryptography and wanting
to implement PGP with my email. Mr. Champeon offered to do this for me
several years ago, but we never found time to do so. Recently with the
announcements and activities of Mr. Ashcroft and the FBI, I have become
more concerned about learning to use PGP.

I wonder if others on this list share my interest? A number of
Internetworkers use PGP regularly, and I wonder if they'd be willing
to share their knowledge? If there is significant interest, it might
even be fun to have a special gathering or meeting someplace to discuss
PGP and crypto and help folks install it. And have our own little
key-signing ceremony!

An INW PGP Installfest. What do y'all think?

P.S. If you can't get enough about security issues, here's a good
article in this month's Atlantic:
