i've been using GPG for quite some time. i would suggest gpg over pgp.
if nothing else its much easier to install.

the only reason i don't encrypt my email more often is.. well... i don't
really care if anyone knows i'm meeting my friends at $bar after work or
sending my resume to $company.

i've done a keysigning with bluecamel and others before... i'm in.
