Because that's what you do when you start swapping the stock parts for
high performance parts :) To get a better idea of what Scott is doing
to his WRX check http://www.i-club.net/forums/.
One aspect of the WRX is that it is very easy to modify the engine for
higher performance. Not that this is always a sane idea, or a required
thing to do, but it's a plus for the WRX if that's what you want to do
with your next car.
On the other hand, if you don't touch a thing you'll find the car
performs fantastic as well. So really the choice is up to the owner
and what they want from there car. :)
