I want to second the suggestion for VNC. There is always PC Anywhere,
but VNC is free, it's Open Source, and it has been ported to just about
any platform imaginable. In fact, there is even a Palm client for VNC
which I have running on my cell phone/Palm combo device, and it works
surprisingly well - meaning that I can remotely view and control my
desktop from my phone (!!). I am starting to roll out VNC all over my
network. On Windows NT/2000 boxes it can be installed as an application
that will have to be launched on the remote end (about three clicks)
before you can remotely view/control the desktop, and it can also be
installed as a service so that it becomes available after boot-up before
the user logs in.
