To protect family and country, some of us must be willing to make sacrifices.
Our
liberties are precious, and come at a high cost. Years ago, I was willing to
give
my life, or take another, to protect those liberties.
Included in those precious liberties are the rights of those who do not wish
to
fight. There is indeed a great irony here, but such is the cost of freedom.
Just as it is right to pray, and forgive, and turn the other cheek, sometimes
it
is right to protect your home, your country, and your way of life.
Though I'm too old now, if called to fight in a just cause, I would still go.
Joe K
"... that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain;
that
this nation shall have a new birth of freedom; and that this government of the
people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."
