True, but when his spokesman Robert Gibbs was asked directly later whether
tort reform was on
the table, he laughed and said no, that hey had enough to work with and
could never get tort
reform through. No we will not be addressing that. Tort reform is good for
everyone but lawyers,
unfortunately Obama is a lawyer and that is the most commonly held
background for congress
and senate. They won't go after themselves.

way malpractice suits are handled. I believe that would definitely
satisfy some on the right side of this equation. Even the President
knows this will not be popular with his party, but he is going to try to

Tort reform and malpractice reform have been the number one issue on
their agenda for years.

I often think we are too gutless to solve any problem. Usually it takes
too much self examination and change, something no one likes to do.
