I guess I need to put my old sig line back on again (Members of Congress should be compelled to wear uniforms like NASCAR drivers so we can identify their corporate sponsors.). AND, it applies to the prez, also!

Big biz wouldn't get away with what it does if it didn't have little well paid puppets in the DC Whorehouse who *make* the regulations. And that is where the rub is. The government couldn't enforce regulations IF government didn't make those regulations to begin with.

Big biz couldn't work to eliminate competition IF laws that have been on the books forever were enforced instead of the government only selectively enforcing laws and regulations.

So, government IS the enemy and I would think that would be quite clear!

All politicians should be limited to two terms: one in office, one in jail.

The text of the message will be released Monday, so you can read it
before it's broadcast.

It would seem that urging hard work and taking charge of one's life
would be a good message to send to kids, but I don't think Obama could
say anything that would be acceptable to at least 25 percent of the
population.

I think Obama is better than McCain might have been, but the
improvement seems more and more marginal. I suspect that Americans
will have to take to the streets to protest corporate control of our
lives before things improve.

Even here I read posts railing against "government regulation" of the
sale of milk, eggs, and farm produce. Yeah, the government enforces
the regulations, but it's Big Bidness that wants to eliminate the
competition.

Let's be clear who the enemy is.
