Well, Bob, you'll be happy to know that Teflon put the federalization of medical records in the stimulous bill, so there would be any discussion or any way to contact anyone to stop it. It's a done deal. Now all your medical records will belong to the feds.

Leslie, thanks. That was an excellent reply. Perhaps I should buy what the young folk call a 'hoodie' ? ;-)
Any more good ideas about remaining as anonymous in one's activities as possible? To do everything you just suggested would mean becoming what? A bum ;-) ?
What is a man without, ID, Credit, Property, Recognition? Is he still a man?
You do realize I'm being factetious in a way that is antagonistic of government/corporatism, not your suggestions. I would, seriously, be happy to hear any more ideas from you , on this subject matter. It sounds though you have more knowledge than the average person.
P.s. Once again, you forgot to dd the homestead address in your reply. Your message (below) only came to me.
p.s.s. I just found a way to listen to a an oldies music channel (and others I haven't yet tried) on the internet while I'm typing , reading, and doing business. We are close to the same age, the link is http://www.sky.fm/ . it is free. Maybe everyone else already knew about this, but I don't own a radio. The channel is only music, no commercials or talking

was and is available to PIs, I can easily multiply that by

number crunching, as well as an alleged US supercomputer in
Canada for the same purpose.
The only way to semi-drop off the grid is to stop renewing
driver's license, vehicle registrations, don't own
property, no communications devices (tv, phone, cell), no
bank accounts, no credit cards, and deal only in cash....and
to keep a hat pulled over face for all those face

Which is probably why back in the 1980s the US gov't
started backing the debit card idea - to eliminate cash as a
currency, so that they can more fully spy on citizens.
Generation X and younger of course have embraced debit cards
completely, without realizing everything they do, where they
were, and what time they were doing it......... which of
course can be used against ya.
Anyone who thinks that hiring tons of government employees
(at taxpayer expense) to track the movements and
conversations of all Americans, is can not possibly be real
familiar with day to day living in a communist country.
Of course, having a father who worked in communist Russia
and hearing his stories, and then living in Miami area for
years and hearing the Marielito type Cubans lament about
conditions under Castro provides a good foundation to resist
that level of government intrusion.

I know there are list members who are perfectly okay with
having no privacy from
the gov't or elsewhere, so you should delete now.
The first link is to an article specificially titled to
rural America written
by a rural American. The second article is related but a
bit more on the
technical side of how information on almost everything can
and is being tracked
& recorded.
I spent part of my am, on the telephone, with a U.S.
Attorney - civil not
criminal-- it is mindblowing the minutia they already know
about a citizen and,
with these new funds and new laws for new technology, the
amount of information
to be collected is about to explode.
