Such wood will certainly burn. Small sticks will burn better than big rounds. Round sticks do not burn as well as split wood because of surface-to-flame percentage.
Optimal seasoning depends on species, size of chunks, weather, surface of drying area, protection from rain. Stacking wood on moist Midwest ground ensures rot initiation in about two years.
