It is not often that I take umbrage at anything posted here because, after
all, I think we're a bunch of pretty liberal folks...but I do make an
exception
here. There is no 'making a joke' in this regard anymore than there would
be making a joke using the "N" word.
It is a matter of respect, and - while we do not like to draw lines - there
are still lines that should not be crossed.
My doors have been closed and my blinds have been drawn every year on
Columbus Day for as many years as I can remember, and Leonard Peltier has
been my
write-in vote for decades. Russell Means, anyone? Dennis Banks?
History will look back on us, and our great-grandchildren will hide their
heads in shame, and not know why.
