Well, Bob, why would you purchase those canned meats when for way less money and just a couple of hours of your time you can can those meats yourself. And a lot more fun stuff like meatloaf, meatballs, sweet and sour pork, stew, chunky chicken soup, taco meat, chili and the list goes on and on and on.

You have that canner now, time to put it to use!

There has been talk of canning different meats. These Mennonites do it successfully enough to have some commercial success. I just read a little blurb about them on another site, recently, and looked to see if they had a web page. It isn't much of a web page, but if anyone is curious , it is below. They get about 3 bucks per pound before shipping cost
