I can tell you were that possum has been. Anywhere that stinks. Inside a
dead cow or a dead pig or a big pile of garbage. I have to be careful how I
put this, but when I was a lad; possum was considered very desirable in the
black part of our community. I would trade to black men I knew, possums and
coons for rabbits. Where I was a lad, the black men prided themselves on
their beagles and their prowess at rabbit hunting. I went on a big rabbit
hunt, a state away, we took some black men and a bunch of their beagles.
Beagles chase rabbits in circles, closer, and closer, until, they are in gun
sight. I have been in a group of a half dozen men standing back to back so
rabbits in all direction, damn rabbit got chased right in amongst us, between
our legs . Hah.
