DH is the one who ordered the tickets for the ballet at Christmas, so we'll be off to see the Nutcracker.

Real men are not supposed to admit this but I really enjoy live theatre. Even some musicals. That must have been great to have that opportunuity when you were young. About that time would have been Children of a lesser God, Annie, A Chorus Line, I've seen a lot of Broadway Productions, on the road ..............bobford

Ha! You made me Google it. From my house to the Metropolitan
Museum of Art on 5th ave. is 253 miles, 4 hours 28 minutes.
Or "up to 5 hours 30 minutes in traffic".

NYC is an exciting place to visit (wouldn't want to
live there). I went to college in north Jersey (Rutgers U),
and a friend had an aunt who worked in a Times Square ticket
booth. She'd call us and tell us that if we could get to
the city in an hour, she had cheap tickets to some Broadway
show. We saw many of the best shows of the late
1970's....Ben Vereen at his prime in Pippin....what a
treat.

could be parked in front of the museums and libraries in
that amount of time, or is that just too get to the
outskirts of the city?

live like those people live; but NYC does have some
wonderful libraries and museums. Some of them have alot of
stuff on the internet, now. .....bobford
