I am finding this entire "discussion" most interesting.?Several years ago, I
was the target of much vitriol from several members of this list, some of
whom are the ones now complaining.?Many of you didn't like the way I thought
about things (still don't ;-)), and were quite disparaging in your remarks
when I had the unmitigated gall to defend myself against your
attacks.?Something about my support of the Bush administration at the time,
and the war, etc.

I simply started deleting posts from those of you who were the most... hmmm,
how shall one put this, without "causing"offense to some obviously sensitive
people,,, foul mouthed? You simply were not worth my time.

I am finding the reaction illuminating, when the shoe gets placed on the
other foot.

I think, as I recall (and my memory is going the way of some of you "ancient"
ones <g>, so I could be wrong), it was Lynda who once told me, "get over
yourself". I would pass on her advice to the rest of you.

There are many of us who disagre with each other. I actually enjoy it, most
of the time, but you can't let the "ignorant SOBs" like Ray, James, Gene,
Rob, and the other curmudgeons on this list bother you.? It's kind of like
poking a stick in a red ant hill (yep, we did have those in North Dakota).??
Fun to watch, but they bite back. If you can't take the occasional bite,
better keep the stick out of the hill.

Ray, one of the curmudgeons

Good question Marie.
I suspect arrogance, ego and the feeling of superiority is purpose enough.
To be honest James has shared information, 10% of my e-mail garden
file came from James but in time I have to wonder if the attitude
that comes with the information is worth it. As you pointed out his
attitude has cost this list before.
