From CNN's Jack Cafferty Will race be the factor that keeps Obama from the White House? Race is arguably the biggest issue in this election, and it's one that nobody's talking about. The differences between Barack Obama and John McCain couldn't be more well-defined. Obama wants to change Washington. McCain is a part of Washington and a part of the Bush legacy. Yet the polls remain close. Doesn't make senseĀ…unless it's race. Time magazine's Michaeel Grunwald says race is the elephant in the room. He says Barack Obama needs to tread lightly as he fights back against the McCain-Palin campaign attacks.

I've seen it on this list. People who you would not expect to support McCain are coming out in full force against Obama. I've seen ridicule and the 'big lie' (it worked for the Germans and Al Gore so why not?) used against Obama and those who talked 'for' him.

Why support the Republicans? The Republicans are the political party of Death and Dollars. Since the Republicans took office we have had thousands of American's deaths at the hand of foreigners. Tens of thousands of foreigners have died by our hands. We have invaded two countries in Asia (the fighting continues) and we have borrowed over a trillion dollars (more than the total borrowed 1776-2000). http://www.house.gov/apps/list/hearing/ca18_cardoza/bush_administration_breaks_record.html
Things are not going right under the Republican leadership.

The only people I'd expect to see supporting McCain are the "me Republican, Me good, you bad" folks and those that were getting some of that trillion borrowed dollars.

With all the Republicans have done and are still doing (the $85b bailout, how much have the Republicans spent on 'welfare' in the last two terms? Talk about corporate welfare!) why are some so against the Democratic candidate?

What is really wrong with Obama ?
He's a product of the Illinois democratic machine but everybody know that, not good but not the end of the world. He hasn't done much to get everyone really pissed at him yet. He is a Democrat. I have to admit that life was better when Bill Clinton was running things (I never did trust him, never voted for him but things were better)
Why so against the Senator from Illinois?
It's like fear or hate but he hasn't really done anything to hate or be afraid of.

Then I got it, he's black.

That explains the fear, hate, unusual supporters of that Republican crap and all the supporting bs on this list.

Too bad.
