At this point in time (and, as is well known, things change), I'm
planning to work until I qualify for Medicare at age 65. Although lots
of copyediting has gone to India, the stuff I do is pretty local.
Plus, I have enough contacts in the editing world to pick up other
stuff (like clean up of manuscripts already edited by Indians) that I
don't expect to be idle. At any rate, I made a good income up until
the point that Jim was about to bankrupt us, so I figure I can do it
again.

It is so insane and counter productive not to have health coverage for
everyone, that I'm left speechless. When the CEO of Wal-Mart and moi
are in total agreement, you know that trouble is afoot.
