Mow the whole thing. A bush hog, even set high, is going to tear stuff up more. Mowing will sort of act like a mulch and will kind of distribute the seeds around.

Or, get a couple of sheep. <g> Goats browse, sheep graze.

I'm full of questions today. My pasture has the goats on it. It's lots
of weeds and stuff. The grass has come up and gone to seed, the seed
heads are starting to dry. Other than asthetics, is there any benefit
to bush hog this pasture off now. Last year I waited until fall and
then gave it a run over to clean it up for winter. I may run around
the fences and such now to make it easier to walk them, but it sure
would look nice if I ran the bush hog over it real high just to know
those seed heads down.
