One wonders then what Indian cuisine was like before peppers. Tomatoes
also, I've always believed to be New World. I've been mildly curious
about the development of food in various parts of the world but too
lazy to track it all down. I suppose I will start with Google and see
what I can find, but if you have any more information on the subject,
I'm listening. It seems odd to me that eggplant was around in the
Mideast for so long and peppers were a late arrival.
