Well, I sort of agree with all you say except "rural Southerners are the only free game left in the world." You get to share that with Indians. It is politically correct to refer to Indians as drunken Indians, lazy Indians, and to be simply amazed that people don't think having teams or places named after "nicnams" and derogatory nicnams isn't something they are fond of. My reply is always "well then, how about the Boston Mics, or the Harlem "N"s, or the L.A. Spics or Chink Creek or, or, or?" I mean, pray tell what is the difference?
Lynda, who had no problem with being "hun'd" to death when she visited relatives in the South.

Now as an unmitigated, unabated, unreconstruted Southerner (American by birth
and Southern by the grace of God), hewed from the very rock and digged from
the very pit ..... let me try to afford you a glimpse .....
Southerners, especially rural Southerners are the only free game left in the
world. Any sort of belittlement, stereo-type, or prejudice is fair game
toward Southerners when it would bring about rended garments and gnashing of teeth
if applied to anyone else.
